I'm going to share with you a little trick to make some extra coin.
Have you ever noticed some places where there are few, if any, income producing properties? How is it that these people don't need income production. Well, I've learned a little trick that I'm going to share with the black sheep.
Hate being invaded and having your money stolen? Well, now you can have your revenge. The key here is that you have to be able to defeat the enemy in a battle where you are on the offensive...
For this trick to work, you need to make sure that you are at a league where your getting more than the bounty money. For example, in my league (Colonel II) I get a 140% increase on bounty collected. You can find out what you get by looking at the leader board -> my league.
I think pretty much every one gets a multiplier that gives you more than the bounty you set. Do a small test and make sure this is the case. So, if the bounty is 100, make sure that you are getting some amount over 100. If you are not - then this trick does not work.
So, what's the trick?
First, you are attacked and invaded. It does not matter what theater you are in (air, land, water).
You first set a bounty. For example, I just set a 5,000,000 coin bounty. Then immediately seek your revenge (there is a button for that) and BEAT the opponent. Then you will see the bounty you put up increase your coin. In my case it ended up adding over 10,000,000 coins to my bank.
You can see how your coin will increase a lot and pretty quickly. Remember, the key is winning the battle. You can see the details of the battle where you were invaded to get a good idea on if you can win or not. Remember to use your distress calls, your power ups and so on to win.... If you loose, then your bounty is lost, so there is some risk here.
I don't consider this cheating as it's using the game without any cheating software and there is a clear risk of loss. But it's also a powerful way of gaining coin!!

Col. Lori is promoted to one star General.
congratulations GENERAL Lori.

congratulations GENERAL Lori.
The General (5 star) Freeman
A note from the General
BOOOYAHHHHH!
Greetings faction members! This is General Freeman and I wanted to take some time to address you!
First, I have heard lamentations that we loose an occasional war. I want you to belay that feeling. In my mind, each "war" is really a set of skirmishes. The real measure of our winning this war is our glory and movement up the ranks of the leader boards! In this, we have been outstanding. Do not let loosing a battle frustrate you. Do not let your defensive losses frustrate you. It's very hard to win a defensive battle (one where they attack you) and if you look at the numbers of members of other factions. the number of defensive battles won is very low. So, don't sweat those losses.
For all of the older members, you have done a great job. You have moved up the ranks, learned great lessons and have brought honor to the Black Sheep. For the new comers, I have been impressed with your fighting and the glory you have brought the Black Sheep. Welcome to the Black Sheep.
I want to thank Col. Lori for doing an impressive job our there. He has really taken care of the Black Sheep as I have been away and I am thankful to her for her amazing work of keeping this unit together, and making it stronger. BOOOYAHHHHH!!
New members, you have a tall wall to climb that has been built by the older members. The Black Sheep was and is about family - and I consider many of the older members to be part of my extended family. Watch out for your fellow Black Sheep.
Some older members have disappeared. I've not seen them in a while and they don't seem to be fighting. I hope they will return!
A couple of facts you may - or may not - know. If you loose a defensive battle, it does not cost you unit lives. So, don't sweat that. It might cost you some power ups, but that's not the end of the world.
Don't forget to call for your allies to assist you (the distress calls). This can help you to win many more battles.
I have what I call my "Order of Battle" - this is how I approach every battle. Let me share my "Order of Battle" with you and maybe it will help you win more battles or at least you might take something away from my strategy.
Order of Battle
Note - most of my units have fused power ups. I normally have them armed with napalm at +160. So this gives me an extra 160 offensive points that does not show up on the board. That's why I use about 40-50% of my offensive number as shown in #3 below. Adjust accordingly.
1. Notice the opponents defensive number.
2. Approximate the opponents offensive number based on the units they have deployed.
3. Deploy resources that equate to about 60-75% of enemy units defense number and about 40-50% of enemy units offensive number.
4. If needed - call in a distress call.
5. Now, I use power-ups liberally during battle, but not without strategy. If I am seriously out gunned then I will do the following at the start of battle:
Having deployed your units - continue the fight. Make sure you click on all of the boxes and mines. If the enemy sends missiles your way, touch them to destroy them before they hit your units. If your unit lights up blue or red, click on that unit as soon as you can. Blue will give you more power for a moment, red gets you out of the way of nasty power-ups from your enemy.
If your enemy is deploying an emp attack, you will see a little vortex kind of thing above your units. Quickly swipe the vortex and you will take out the power-up.
If, during the battle - you start loosing - liberally deploy more power-ups. Power ups accumulate in value - so if you drop 3 armors then you will have 150% of your defense for 10 seconds (whereas one armor is 50% of your defense for 10 seconds).
Note that I use a lot of power-ups. This means you have to be creating then at a pretty good clip to replace them. If you look at my base you will see that I have a ton of power-up production and lots of boosters around them to speed up the production rate. I can produce a ton of power-ups on my base. Yes, it takes time to build up to that level. To compete in 5 battles of 3 wars you will need the following (at a maximum) to use my strategy. Note that these are on the high side because often you will get enemies that are much weaker than you are. So, weigh your strength against theirs before you use the full power-up attack strategy.
15 Titanium Armor II
15 Emp Attack II
15 Explosive Shells
5-10 Nukes
I can build all of these in something like 3 hours or less (and have lots of extra building capacity).
Build the biggest units you can build, and get those power-up's fused onto them.
More later troops! Keep up the good work.

Rank and Promotions
I get a lot of messages about promotions and the like. I've decided that I'm going to create a rank system and that it will be designated here. The ranks come with varying levels of responsibility and power. The ranks will be:
Officers
General - Complete control over the army. Can make any promotion. (Robert) Only one ever.
colonel - Second in command. Responsible for keeping track of membership, rules, statistics, etc. Can also add and remove faction members. Only one - ever. (Lori) - Major reports to Colonel. Colonel may approve promotions up to the level of Major, including enablement of faction promotions to allow majors to do their duty with respect to recruit.
Major - Third in command. Can add and remove faction members. Only 2 for now. Captians report to the major. Majors are responsible for recruiting and training faction new faction members and, under the direction of the major, correcting faction members who violate rules or are in danger of being discharged from the faction. Majors may not discharge members but should make discharge requests to the Colonel and General. Majors are responsible for accepting faction members who make requests to join the faction after they have been properly qualified. Majors should remain in constant contact with the Captian's. Majors make promotion requests for lower officers and any enlisted to both the General and the Colonel.
Captain - Leads a group of troops with 2 lieutenants under this person. Unlimited number. Reports to Major. Captian's are responsible for recruiting but do not have the ability to add faction members. Recruits should goto the faction page and request to join the faction. Should stay in constant contact with the lieutenants. Capt's make promotion requests for lower officers and any enlisted to their Major.
Lieutenant - Leads a group of enlisted. Unlimited number. Reports to Captain. Each Lt. will be assigned one or more enlisted man to be responsible for. The Lt. should be in constant contact with their assigned enlisted men.
Enlisted
Sergeant - Will be responsible for at least one lower rank enlisted person.
Corporal - Responsible to fight
Private - Responsible to fight
Buck Private - Responsible to fight
I will have a list of rank assignments out soon.

some things to do, some things not to do, some things you might not know....
In the game, there are a number of things that you can do. Just because you can do them, or even want to do them, does not mean that it's the right thing to do at the *time*. If you want to be a long term success at the game and not get frustrated, then be patient and follow these baisc guidelines.
To Do:
Prioritize
If you want to be a long term success at the game, then you will need to prioritize certain things. Many of us want to get our there and fight, because it's fun. But, in the begining especially, you are vunderable when fighting and fighting has a high cost to it. Also, loosing is frustrating and if you are feeling like all you do is loose, then you will get frustrated with the game and you might decide to leave.
So, what should you prioritize? In the begining and up to level 20 or so - or if you have not already done this and you are beyond level 20, I'd prioritize the following:
1. Income generating buildings - At the end of the day, coin is KING. You need to be generating as much coin as you can. You also need to make sure that the income generating buildings are generating as much income as they can. This leads us to:
2. Boosters - Boosters will increase the amount of income generated by a building. They also increase oil production, storage and decrease build time for units. At the begining of the game, concentrate on income buildings and placing boosters on those income buildings.
Boosters
Boosters come with different streingths. So, clearly you will want to use the best boosters you can. They have a cost, of course, but the additional production of the building over time will more than offset the booster cost. Also, check your stash as there are often boosters in there.
So, a typical booster/incombe building would look something like this:
bbb
bib
bbb
Where b is the boosterrs and I is the income building. The difference in an income building without boosters and one with can be on the order of anywhere from 10% to up to several hundred percent. I use a lot of the warplane boosters but they are costly at 250,000 coin. The trees and other 1% boosters are less expensive and can be replaced later as you build more coin.
Building Income
If you want to see an epic build out of a base you can look here:

Building Income
If you want to see an epic build out of a base you can look here:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnSAtE_fsI0
I've not watched the whole thing but it looks interesting.
3. As your building income, income buildings and boosters, you will be adding experience points. This is important
as the more experience points you have, the more buildings and units that become available. Thus, the more coin
that becomes available.
Best coin buildings? (I'm leaving out the buildings to buy for stars)
The mess hall isn't bad, and in fact over time is one of the better collections early on.
But, you will need to collect from it every minute to get the real use out of it. That's a bit of a pain.
The millitary cottage gives you a bit less overall income over the same amount of time as the mess hall, but you only
need to collect from it every 5 minutes. Still, that's a lot of coin lost if you are not playing for a while.
The warehouse seems a good early on choice. I'd build several of these as the price is right and the income rate
is also pretty fair. It's income rate is also better than the modern house.
Protection
In the begining put your income buildings far enough apart that no one can easily steal from more than one at a time.
This will protecting you from being invaded and having your coin stolen. You can also buy protection for a certain
amount of stars, but at the lower levels I don't think you will need it. You will be protected after a raid on you
base for a while anyway.
Not to do - lots of battles
Fighting battles at the start is a great way to loose coin, and fast. I understand you want to fight battles, and you
are a member of the Black Sheep faction, so you need to fight there. Still, limit your battles initially.
Let your coin build first, build a few units and battle cautiously. I'd only take on the lowest level
enemies at first.
Invasion
When you do battle, invasaion at the lower levels is critical. When you choose someone to fight make
sure they are not protected (the little shield below their name means they are protected). Invade with any and
every fight you win, without exception (until it comes to when you are capible of underwater
operations then the rules change). Invade invade invade unless you have a strong feeling the enemy
has nothing worth taking. It's a great way to build coin. Carefully look at their base. Once in a while,
you will find a treasure chest of millions of coins. That is a great payday!
Fusion
You might be tempted to build a fusion building and start fusing your troops. I'd build only one and I'd use it
sparingly. The truth is the surface fusions are not that great. Wait until you can move underwater and
build an underwater fusion building. Then you can really do some fusing.
If you want to spend stars, you can get some good fusion from the surface building but I would not
waste your money.
So, in summary.... build income buildings with boosters. Build coin. If your going to fight, do
so in a selective way. Invade when you do fight and collect the most coins you can.
More later...
The General
